1. Who we are
SMPP Simulator is operated by OpenAssure, Flat 21, Building 2744, Road 2841, Al Sayh, Bahrain (“we”, “us”, “our”). In these terms, “you” means the person or organisation that creates an account or uses the service. If you sign up for an organisation, you confirm you are allowed to accept these terms on its behalf.
By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms, our Privacy Policy and our Refund Policy.
2. The service
SMPP Simulator is a hosted test SMSC. Your SMPP client binds to sim.smppsimulator.com with credentials we give you.
Messages it sends are stored and shown in your dashboard at app.smppsimulator.com, and
delivery receipts are simulated.
The service never delivers messages to real phones or to any mobile network. It is for development and testing only. Don’t use it for anything that relies on a message reaching a person.
3. Your account
- You sign in with a link we email you. Keep access to that email address secure, because anyone who can read it can sign in.
- You can invite other people to your account. Owners and admins manage members, SMPP credentials and billing, and you are responsible for what your members do.
- Keep your SMPP
system_idand password private. Reset the password from the dashboard if you think it has leaked. - The information you give us must be accurate, and you must be at least 18 years old to use the service.
4. Free trial
Every plan starts with a 7-day free trial with the plan’s full features. You can cancel at any time during the trial and you won’t be charged. If you have added a payment method, your paid subscription starts automatically when the trial ends unless you cancel first. If you haven’t, access to the paid plan stops when the trial ends until you subscribe. We may limit trials to one per person or organisation.
5. Plans, payment and our reseller Paddle
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. When you buy a subscription you also agree to Paddle’s Buyer Terms.
- Subscriptions are billed in advance, monthly or yearly, and renew automatically for the same period until you cancel.
- Prices are shown on our pricing page. Paddle adds any sales tax or VAT that applies where you are.
- If you upgrade, the new plan applies straight away and Paddle charges or credits the difference pro rata. A downgrade applies from your next billing date.
- We may change our prices. We will email account owners at least 30 days before a change affects you, and it applies from your next renewal after that.
- If a payment fails, Paddle will retry it. If it still can’t be collected, we may suspend the account until it is paid.
6. Cancelling
You can cancel at any time from your account settings or by emailing hello@smppsimulator.com. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you have paid for, and it won’t renew. Refunds are covered by our Refund Policy.
7. Usage limits
Each plan includes a number of numbers and messages per month, shown on the pricing page. When an account reaches its monthly message limit, the simulator may refuse further messages with a standard SMPP error until the next billing period or until you upgrade. Unused messages don’t carry over.
8. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the service for anything unlawful, or to store content you have no right to use;
- send real people’s personal or sensitive data in test messages when made-up data would do;
- try to get into other accounts, probe or attack our systems, or get around usage limits;
- put deliberately excessive load on the service, beyond normal testing and load testing within your plan;
- resell the service, or share credentials publicly, without our written permission.
We may suspend an account that breaks these rules. Where we reasonably can, we will tell you first and give you a chance to fix it.
9. Your content
The messages your clients send, and anything else you put into the service, remain yours. You give us permission to store, process and display them only as needed to run the service for you. You can delete messages, or clear an inbox, at any time. How we handle personal data is explained in our Privacy Policy.
10. Availability and changes to the service
We work to keep the service running, but it is provided for testing and we don’t promise it will be uninterrupted or free of errors. We may carry out maintenance, and we may change or improve features. If we make a change that substantially reduces what a paid plan includes, we will tell account owners in advance.
11. Our intellectual property
The service, the software and our brand belong to us or our licensors. These terms give you the right to use the service while your account is active. They don’t transfer any ownership to you.
12. Ending the agreement
You can stop using the service and close your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms, or if the law requires us to. When an account is closed, we delete its data as described in our Privacy Policy.
13. Disclaimer
The service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, including fitness for a particular purpose. A successful test in the simulator doesn’t guarantee that a real carrier will accept or deliver your messages.
14. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost profits, revenue or data. Our total liability arising from these terms is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can’t be limited by law, or your rights as a consumer under the law where you live.
15. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. When a change is significant, we will email account owners at least 30 days before it takes effect. If you keep using the service after that, the new terms apply. If you don’t agree, you can cancel before they apply.
16. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Bahrain, and its courts have jurisdiction over any dispute.
